Hello, This Was My Week.

Once upon a time Linsey never wrote on her blog.
The end.

Lets start with Wednesday:

I went to a choir concert.
And might I just say,
My school is oh so talented.
I sat by my romeo.
Our secret love....
It's fantastic.
After I arrived home I had the privledge of watching the American Idol Finale.
SCOOOTTTTTTYYYYYY!!!
My boy.
My love.
I called it from the very beginning.
He will be a legend.

Thursday:

Two words.
Bad. Day.
Do you ever have those days when nothing goes your way,
when teachers don't work with you,
when friends act silly,
when fate hates you,
when a certain boy ignores your existance,
when you have 170000000 things to do and so little time,
and you really just want a chocolate bar?

Yep.
That was my life.

That night we had our Dance Co banquet.
I wanted to cry.
It was so hard being with my entire Company for the last time.
But I was comforted.
We have so many great memories together.
We are sisters.
As cliche as it sounds,
We can't cry because it's over,
we should smile because it happened.
I will never forget Dance Company 2010 - 2011.
A true sisterhood.

Friday:

One of the best days I have had in the longest time.
At lunch,
A tailgate party was held on the band field.
Hot dogs were eaten,
and memories were made.
A complete success.
Then came the state championship baseball game.
I had the privilege to sit by my dear Crush through out the entire game.
BONDDINNNG definitely occurred.
Man.... I will write a little bit more about that later.
We lost.
But second in state is not that bad right?
It's actually quite amazing.
Then came Powder Puff.
Stupid seniors.
I hate you.
All of you.
And your cheating ways.
GRRRRR.
I got a real cool jersey that some lovelies made for me.
It sported the number 26 along with the name of "Puffs" on the back.
May I just say I love that shirt?
A lot.
Then came Cavestock.
Talk about your craziness.
At first everything went quite well.
Doing my free period I got work with the cotton candy.
A literal dream come true.
I am easily entertained.
Sue me.
Then the rain came.
Usually I'm a fan of water falling from the sky but not when we are holding an outside dance with expensive electronics that must be out of H20's way.
So,
the chaos began.
The rain meant we had to bring everything in.
Every chair.
Every table.
Every piece of equipment.
By the end I was a soaking wet mess that really needed a power nap.
Might I just say,
when things need to get done,
I turn into a different person.
My priorities are shifted and I run around like a mad women trying to get things done.
And things we a lot easier because my dear Crush was by my side for the most of the night.
He helped me with everything.
I really appreciated it.
He made me smile.
A lot.
Then Momo and I decided to take a break and wrestle in the grass.
One of the best ideas I have ever had.
She is a little monster.
I like a challenge.

Yep.
We are that cool.
Notice the jersey. Number 26.
Booyahhh.

After about an hour of endless clean up the dance began.
And I partied.
It was very hot.
I became very sweaty.
But did that stop me from dancing with my Crush?
NO SIRR.
American Fork High School is just so school.
At one point in the evening my red headed little sister, a little sophy I admire with all my heart,
and I decided to stand on the benches and dance.
Pretty soon,
our whole little group was on those old piles of wood partying like
 there was no tomorrow.
Towards the end of the night,
They played a song of unity and the whole school linked arms and stood in a big circle.
We all shifted back and forth.
Looking at each other's faces.
Looking at the seniors who are off to bigger and better things.
Wanting to cry.
But smiling thinking of all the memories.
We all shouted ah-chil-le-le.
For the last time.
It was a great end.
Not to mention,
I danced with my Crush.
Twice.
That's right.
And all I have to say is I believe I have fallen quite hard for the kid.
Never in my life had I thought it would have developed into this.
He is amazing.
I have never met a more amazing boy.
He makes me swoon.
And giggle.
And... man.
Not to mention he improved immensely as a dancer.
Mainly, we worked on dips and spins.
Magical.
We had a moment.
I am the luckiest girl to ever walk this planet.
But at the same time,
I am terrified.
I don't know how to conduct myself.
I don't know what to do.
Hello seventh grade.
That is what I feel like.
Let the pieces fall where they may, I like to say.
Cavestock.
Success.
Pure happiness.
I love my life.
Very much.

An Eventful Weekend.

Within the last 48 hours
I have never learned so much about myself.
Honestly.
My limits.
My strengths.
My weaknesses.
The things that make me truly happy.
Experiences that makes me weep.
True love being reunited.
Friendships on the fritz.
Late nights and deep secrets.

Man.
My life.
Someone help me.

It all started Thursday night.
My best friend slash newly made cheerleader
slept over at my house.
As we laid in my bed,
we talked
and talked
and talked.
Until 2 am.
Don't forget I had to be at the school by 6:45 for SBO training.
We discussed our senior year and the changes that are coming.
I asked her how she felt.
Her answer stated
that she felt like I was giving up on her.
On our friendship.
That I am not going to fight for things to stay the same.
That shocked me.
I know it is something worth fighting for,
but when life gets started and things get crazy,
I just thought growing apart was inevitable.
Maybe I am crazy.
She says I am.
It doesn't have to be that way.
And I agree.
My mind took on a new look on this whole deal.
It will all be okay.
No matter what.

That night was our last concert.
The last time American Fork Dance Company 2010-2011
would ever dance together.
The last time with my seniors.
The last time with my best friends.
It was a very emotional night.
It started with a devotional
and the most beautiful speech by our one and only manager,
Benjamin Wright.
He his words made us weep.
So powerful.
He then sang us a song about family and love.
And how a team is one.
I lost it.
I bawled,
Hysterically.
My make up was horribly ruined.
Which is fine.
I didn't really care.
I just wanted to give the show of our lives.
And we did.
Let me tell you.
That concert was amazing.
Perfect.
Every dance had passion.
We danced not as individuals,
but as a team.
We did it for each other.
The crowd was amazing.
The feeling of getting on that stage and performing a piece that you have put
blood, sweat, and tears into,
dancing with your best friends,
and expressing yourself in an artistic out-of-body way,
it is beyond words.
It is a whole new world of expressing emotions.
Ideas.
Inner most thoughts.
It is incredible.

Afterward, the entire company went to Pizza Factory.
What a treat.
I have never belly-gut laugh more in my life.
Our manager might be the funniest person alive.
I devoured food and loved every second of it.
At one point in the evening,
I received a phone call.
I excused myself from the table and ran outside.
Answering the phone, I was shocked to hear the voice that spoke my name.
My best friend.
The one person that has made the biggest influence on my life.
I cannot believe I have not mentioned him on this blog before because
he is the reason I am who I am today.
I had not talked to him in 5 months.
He had disappeared from my life entirely.
We got to the point where we knew each other too well,
we would try to tick each other off,
and just fought.
All. The. Time.
But here he was.
On the phone, ready to talk.
I about died.
Tears began to flow from my eyes.
I had missed him so much.
I smile cheek to cheek as a waterfall came crashing over it.
We talked for a bit.
He cracked some old time jokes,
and I laughed.
It was just comforting to hear his voice and that he was doing well.
I returned back to the table with my food ready to eat.
I indulged myself.

Afterward a few of the ladies had a night of
slumber and hot tubbing.
Secrets were shared
and stories of first kisses were told.

Saturday morning was spent at Kneaders
with my SBO soul sister.
We discussed boys and love.
Let me tell you.
She is one insightful little lassie.
I have been contemplating between two amazing men.
I had no idea.
So she gave me a bit of advice.
Flip a coin.
My response is the same as yours right now.
Why would you base your future on probability?
But there is a catch.
As soon as you flip the coin,
a name will pop into your head.
The name of who you hope it will land on.
And that is the boy you really want to be with.
So I did it.
And it worked.
I will let you know how that plays out.
After leaving, we had a very dramatic experience.
She was in tears.
I was her comforter.
My problem is,
I take on other peoples emotions as my own.
When I reached my home,
my body was shaken and my thoughts were unclear.

The rest of the night was spent cleaning,
and baking,
and singing.
I love nights at home.
They are just very comforting.

Today,
I went and saw my old best friend.
We cried.
I feel uneasy.
I don't know how to respond to what is happening.
My life is a whirlwind.
It is only going to get crazier.
Help.
My emotions are all tussled.
I don't know how I feel about anything at the current moment.
It will all work out though.
Won't it?

A Quick Little Update.

I have a new old friend.
He makes me smile.
And giggle.
I like this feeling.

I want Student Council to start now.
I would like my new family to love me.
My new sisters are the greatest.
Please begin now.
Oh wait...
I have sweater fittings in the morning.
At 6:45 in the morning.
Yay me.
Actually I'm quite excited.
Ecstatic to be exact.

This week is concert week.
This means hard work.
Tears.
Laughter.
Injury.
Dancing.
14 hours at the place I like to call prison.
Man.
I love concert week.
And this is only the beginning.
Please come!
April 28 & 29
7:00 in the auditorium.
$5 dollars at the door.
It is going to be a great show.

My Crush still makes me giddy.
I wish I saw him more.
But what can you do?

I put Medical Assisting into my schedule.
As well as student council.
I cannot wait for my senior year.
I am so impatient.
I want it to start this very moment.
Or at least for it to be summer.
That will do.
5 more weeks.
I can do this.
Only 4 more Mondays right?

I Have Been Blessed With A Calming Peace.

Everything happens for a reason.
I know this.
I have a testimony of it.

Today, I decided to attend another soccer game.
My red headed little sister accompanied me, always by my side.
At least I'm not losing her,
Heck!
The girl is going to be on Dance Company with me.
She is my ultimate besty.
At least I will always have her right?
As I stood in the stands at the game,
screaming and chanting my team on,
talking about an exciting assembly that took place months ago,
belly gut laugh with my best friend,
surrounded by fellow classmates who radiate the light of the Christ,
I had my heart heal a bit.
I saw the picture for what it truly was.
These kids,
student council and what not,
are going to become my new family.
My new best friends.
And let me tell ya.
I could NOT be MORE excited.
I am smiling cheek to cheek just thinking about it.
I am losing my current best friends to the cheer world,
and I know our friendship will dwindle.
But my new council will fill that whole.
Actually....
It won't just fill, it will make it overflow!
I could not be happier with my life right now.
I am at peace.
Prayers are answered.
My Heavenly Father loves me.
I have been blessed with understanding.
A calming peace.
Everything is going to be okay.
He has a plan.
For you.
For me.
I am smiling.
I love soccer.
A certain boy to say the least.
And I love you.
Life is grand.

It Will Never Be The Same.

Well,
Its the end of the world as we know it.
Really.
I apologize to those souls that saw my drastic shedding of tears today.
Quite an emotional day.
My eyes are heavy, drooping, and sore from the water that was drained.
I feel emotionally worn down.
I just want to sleep.
One of the worst days I have had in a long time.
It all started when I went to bed at 2 am,
and awoke promptly at 5:30 am.
Three and half hours of sleep.
Never a good way to start a day.

I traveled to the MATC at 6:00 am to be the first one in line for Medical Assisting.
After two hours of sitting on my behind, the line finally started moving.
I MADE IT IN.
There are only twenty-five students in the class and I got the last spot.

I love my Heavenly Father.
The blessings never cease.
I am so grateful.

I approached the high school with a heavy heart.
It looks like a death chamber.
At least it does right now, with only six weeks left of school.
It will be over soon though.
Except for I am not quite ready for it.

Because...

I am losing my best friends.
Life is never going to be the same.
My bestestesetest friends in the whole world,
have made a finally decision to not try out for Dance Company,
and become Cheerleaders.
I knew it was coming but I thought the girls would juggle both.
Today, the news came out.
They had to choose one or the other.
Their decision was cheer.
Man, I have never seen so many tears.
These girls are the heart and soul of Dance Company.
The core.
My best friends.
It is inevitable that our friendship is going to calm and almost cease to exist.
When you work, fight, and play as a team,
your best friends begin to form in that group.
It goes both ways.
In Cheer.
In SBO.
We are about to live polar opposite lives,
with different people, different experiences.
We are talking the EXACT opposite.
They are just different types of people.
And that's that.
We are going to change.
We are going to seperate.
We will ALWAYS be friends, but how close we are now?
That is going to be gone.
It's high school.
It's life.
I have cried many tears seeing truly how my life is going to change.
It is going to completely change.
Flip 180 degrees.
I don't do well with change.
Hence, the waterfalls from my eyes.
I wish my best friends luck.
I hope they find complete happiness with their new goals in life.
My heart hurts.
But Heavenly Father is watching over me.
He knows what I need.
I love him.
I am grateful.
He blessed me with SBO.
I am going to grow in so many ways.
I am going to be surrounded by the best of the best kids.
I am going to form a family.
I can't wait.
It is highly needed.
I am just going to miss this.
Every moment, every laugh, every smile,
I am going to take in the rest of the year.
Because it will never be the same.
That's what hurts the most.
But I will be okay.
I always pull through.
Somehow.
“Even though we've changed and we're all finding our own place in the world, we all know that when the tears fall or the smile spreads across our face, we'll come to each other because no matter where this crazy world takes us, nothing will ever change so much to the point where we're not all still friends.”

The three ladies not in the uniform will soon be running around in those short skirts.
I will wear my sweater with pride.
Love you girls.
You will always be my best friends.

Change Is Coming My Way.

Decisions.
Change.
Man, my life is changing right before my eyes.
Stupid college.
It ruins everything.
My friends and I are starting to my challenged with the reality of what college expects.
We all need scholarships.
We all want to have an amazing senior year.
But in order to receive scholarships, we must shape and form our senior year to help us require the certain skills to help us be eligible for the scholarships.
And that bites.
Different paths.
Different friends.

Lets put it this way.
I have the best friends in the world.
There are seven of us.
We are all on Dance Company,
Minus one, who is still with us every where we go,
and spend every second possible with one another.
They are the best girls I know.
We know everything about eachother.
Maybe a little too much.
But that's what makes us best friends right?

 That's us.
Right there.
The seven of us.
We have been through so so so much together.
We are so dynamic as group.
All have a love of dancing that bonds us, but at the same time
we are all so different.

There is the Polynesian.
When people first see her, they are intimidated by her 5'11" Samoan self.
But once you get to know her, she is the kindest, softest person I know.

There are the two Asians.
One being so bluntly honest about everything at all time,
we have learned to just laugh at her insulting comments.
It's just who she is.
And we love her for it.
The other being the down to earth one.
She is strong and sweet.
A perfect balance.

The blond haired, blue eyed babe.
Who makes boys go weak in the knees.
Honestly, one of the prettiest girls at our school.
Her personality makes you fall out of your seat laughing.
Not to mention, she is a famous dancer.
It's fine.

The red head.
My best friend from the beginning.
I have never met a girl with a stronger personality.
She likes things her way, and will fight til she gets it.
She is motivated.
She is amazing.

The exotic bendy blond one.
My ultimate best friend.
The best dancer I know.
I have never met a softer heart.
She views life from an eternal perspective and
helps me everyday of my life.
One of the best people I have ever met in my life.

We have been through the thick and the thin.
And its about to come to a close.

Three of them,
Have all decided to try out for our schools cheer squad.
In order for them to get scholarships for their dream colleges.
And our team?
They are amazing.
Unreal.
We're talking best in the state.
Second in the country.
Ya, they are kind of a big deal.
But that doesn't go without practice.
Cheer is their life.
They live, breathe, and even eat cheer.
So what does that mean for Linsey?
My best friends are going to become too busy to even notice my existence.
They are who I sat with at our high school events.
The ones that watched every football and basketball game with.
The silly Friday nights.
That is going to be all over.
My heart is cracking to just thinking about.
Luckily, two of the lassies are going to try and juggle Dance Co and Cheer.
We will see how that works out.
But things will never be the same.
Ever.

Two are already set on Dance Co.
That is their first priority.
But between jobs and studio dancing,
I will rarely ever see them.

One isn't even on Dance Co.
We have remained best friends by the unity of all of us.
I'm terrified with our all of our separation,
I won't ever see her anymore.

And then there is me.
My first priority,
Student Body Officer.
That is where my loyalty will lie.
I will always put it first.
With that alone,
I will hardly ever see my little possy.

We are being separated.
I have never done well with change.
My anxiety issues start to come into play.

But you know what?
The more I ponder and think about what is to come,
The more I know I am going to be alright.
When all this news was officially out in the air,
I began to panic that I was going to be alone.
No friends.
A complete loser.
Then, I realized,
Linsey, think of what is in store for you.
You have a whole council who will become your family.
New friends that will always be there for you.
The push to go to every school event,
not alone, but with a best friend.
You are never going to be alone.
Heavenly Father has blessed you.
Take this blessing, and use it to your full potential.
And I am at peace.
I know everything happens for a reason.
I am strong believer in that.
So its all going to work out in the end.

I am so excited for senior year.
Change is coming my way.
I will face it head on.
And I will welcome it with open arms.
I am ready for this.
Are you?

These Are The Days I Live For.

March, a glorious month.
It is a time when snow begins to melt and spring takes over.
Happiness is sprung from the most random places.
Like today.
These are the days I love.

It started out fantastic.
My dear mother let me sleep in until 7:30.
That alone made this day fantastic.
I arrived at school 8:50,
to attend a very interesting field trip.
The rebellious half of Dance Company decided to sluff a day of school,
and travel to Salt Lake to watch a very unique modern concert.
Man, it was awful.
I hate modern.
That is not real dancing.
Nope nope.
But spending the day with my girls was fantastic.

My sisters.
The best girls around.
We are so absurd together.
The topics of our conversations are completely odd and sometimes inappropriate for other individuals to hear.
Another great plus about this field trip??
I got to dress up today.
This doesn't happen.
Ever.
Usually, I just throw on a hoodie and my favorite pair of jeans.
Or the worn out sweats.
I like being comfy, sue me.
But today, I wore my special heels.
My favorite all time favorite shoes.
They kind of make me happy.
And I never get wear them.
So it was a good day.

Fashonista.
Werk.

Once we got back, I spent my lunch discussing SBO campaigns and soccer players.

Then Dance Company.
We worked.
And worked.
And worked.
The best part?
We decided to take a couple laps around the track.
We thought it would help us to get in better shape.
After running half a lap, we started a brisk walk.
Out of shape. Pathetic.
That is when we noticed the self-named
High Jump Squishy Mat.
We spent time creating a synchronized diving routine.
We practiced our flips.
We acted like dolphins.
I cannot remember a time I laughed that hard.
Man, my friends are idiots.
That is why I love them.

But at 3:00, I had to leave.
To travel to the worst of worst places.
My nightmare.
I began to shake as I ventured to this torture chamber.
As soon as I opened the doors,
I heard the ear piercing screams of a drill sculpting its way into the human bone.
You guessed it.
THE DENTIST.
Ever since I was a little girl,
I cry and shake and scream at the thought of laying in one of those chairs.
Nothing has changed.

I survived.
No injuries.
No cavities.
These pearly whites are staying clean.

I then decided to attended the JV baseball game.
After I few moments of watching the game,
I got a little restless.
Really restless actually.
So I traveled to the near-by hill with my boyfriend.
We have been close for almost two years.
He is four.
When I am with him, my maturity level drops to his equivalent.
Maybe even lower.
We spent the next hour,
rolling down the hill,
tickling each other,
hunting like dinosaurs,
sharing kisses,
making up a sweet handshake,
soaking up the sun,
fighting dragons,
only to end with an adventure to the big mountain that we had to blow up to save the world.
But our amazing escape only came to pass because of our undying love for one another.
Oh, to be young.
Where the only trouble you encounter is the dragons coming to attack you.
Your only stress is somebody took your marker.
I could not think of a better way to spend my afternoon.

He was attacking my camera.
Still in dinosaur mode.
He is so cute.
Heartbreaker, right here.
I have finally found a boy,
that accepts me for myself and my own maturity level.

After I left the field,
I rolled down my windows with the sun shining onto my face.
I put on my sunglasses and blasted my favorite JB and T-Swift melodies.
I cannot even express my happiness at that moment.
Spring is here.
The sun is shining.
Life is good.
Life is grand.
These are the days I live for.

I need to go swing hunting.
The search for the best swing in American Fork is about to begin.

Great Friday.

I know it is the sabbath day but please let me recap the events of my weekend.
This post will be my adventure of Friday night.

It was a good day.

Do you ever have the days at school were it is completely pointless to be there?
You watch a movie in every class?
You don't pick up a pencil once?

That was my day.
It was fantastic.
It was the last day of the term.
I earned a 4.0
There was no stress in my life.
I went to Cafe Rio for lunch.
I devoured a whole burrito.
It was delicious.
It was a good Friday.

Once again, 4th period came around.
After school got out, we had a little break from Dance Company.
I walked into the commons to find my dear friend Brette.
Once I spotted her, we had a nice little chat about the remainder of our night.
Suddenly I noticed a person standing to my left.
My Crush had actually approached me.
My face felt as though hot water had washed it clean.
I was as red as a tomato.
I almost died.
Almost.
He just wanted to tell me that his soccer game was a 3:30 instead of 4.
With a bit of small conversation, he left.
Oh my.
When he turned the corner, I collapsed.
My body just flailed on the floor.
I was so happy.

After Dance Co, I went to the soccer game.
It was freezing, but I loved watching our team play their little hearts out.
After the game, I got my nails done for prom.

It was a great Friday.

Mission Accomplished. A New Journey Has Just Begun.

Hear ye, Hear ye.
Members of this blogging world,
buckle down for the story of the reuniting
of past childhood lovers.
Yes, you guessed it.
Today, I spoke to my dear Crush.

Excuse me for a second,
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
I had to take a sprint around the ol' bedroom.
Its fine.

It started out as any other day.
I went to school, sat through my classes,
took tests, turned in homework.
Boring. Boring. Boring.
Finally, 4th period came around.
Dance Company.
My sanctuary.
My second home.
My family.
As second hour started,
my group and I ventured to the East Gym.
For the record, dancing vigorously results in major sweating.
As I was dancing my little heart out,
I notice my red headed little sister at the door way.
She was whispering my name, and motioning for me to join her.
Of course, I began to sprint to build up energy to tackle her.
When my body approached the door way, I saw HIS head pop into the door opening.
My body abruptly turned motionless,
and I heard an ear piercing scream.
It took my a moment to notice the sound was coming from my very own mouth.
Ahhhh, shoot me now.
I threw my hands over my mouth to cover the curdling sound.
Up roaring laughter came from the surrounding group of friends.
I was mortified.
Completely speechless.
I did not even know what to do with myself.
Finally, the giggles stopped.
Awkward silence.

"So... What are you guys doing here?"

Trying to make eye contact with my Crush,
and trying to keep my stench away from the boy,
I made casual conversation.
Test scores and soccer games.
Little did he know,
I was screaming and dancing around like a giddy little girl on the inside.
It came time for him to leave our five minute conversation.
I promised him I would go to his soccer game.
And then he left.
Before I could even comprehend what just happened.
I slowly trudged back to my fellow members of Dance Company,
and they looked at me questioningly.
When I knew he was out of hearing range,
Screams began to escape my throat.
Very unique dance moves were created.
I lost ten pounds from the endless sprinting, jumping, flailing.
I am smiling ear to ear just thinking about it.

Yahoo, mission accomplished.
I finally talked to him.
Not exactly how I wanted it to happen,
But at least it happened.

I will keep you posted on further conversations.
I am sure there will be many more to come.
I love life.
And this is just the beginning of this happiness.
I can't wait for this story to unfold.

Crazy Life

I apologize, to all the members of this blogging world,
For my scarcity in writing and most random disappearance.

My brain is fried.
My days are filled with stress and bewilderment.
I honestly have not had one minute to sit down and write
the situation of my life.

From homework,

to the end of the term,

to Dance Company,

to getting ready for prom,

to running for SBO,

my life has been a complete whirlwind.
I have not had a minute to myself.

So, my apologies.
I promise I will write more soon.
Til then, adios!
