The Universe Loves To Make Me Miserable. Typical.

Fate hates me.
End of story.
The end.
Good bye.

Okay.
So my entire junior year there was a senior boy I had a masssssive crush on.
We never talked.
I just admired him from afar.
The entire year.
I knew I would never be good enough for him,
so instead of embarrassing myself,
I just always kept a secret eye out for him and never made my love known to anyone.

Then one day,
We had a seminary assembly during one of the last weeks of school.
He decided to get up and bear his unyielding testimony.
It brought my to tears.
Not only was this boy charming and handsome, his testimony was burning and bright.
After the little meeting I marched my way up to him and thanked him for his thoughts.
He smiled that champion smile of his.
My knees went a little week.
We spent the next couple of weeks acting as though we have been close friends all year.
And it meant the world to me.
I waited at least an hour in line for him to sign my yearbook.
Once I finally received his,
I made a spur of the moment decision.
I documented my secret infatuation forever and for all of eternity in his book of the year.
It probably took up 3/4 of his page.

Yep.
So now he knows.
I left my number with a simple request that we might call me and we shall play.

So the first week of summer passed.
I knew my expectations were far too unrealistic.
I mean, I just want to be his friend.
Nothing less, nothing more.
But still, at the end of the week, no call.

Then tonight.
I'm sitting of the book of Faces were his name pops up.
He says,
"You know, I tried to call you 4 times this week.
The number didn't work...
I was really bummed."

My heart stopped.
My stomach sank.

STUPID MINUTES.
WHY DID YOU HAVE TO RUN OUT???

I sat at home every night.
WAITING.
Hoping that this boy might call me.
And he tried to.
And my phone didn't work.
So I sat.
And got fat.
And did absolutely NOTHING.

Am I fuming?
You betcha.

I hate my life.
And fate hates me.
End of story.
Plus,
This lad leaves for the next week on a canyon adventure.

So now.
I must wait a WHOLE week to see him.
Gosh dang it.

But on the plus side,
I will have minutes on the 16th.
So we should be golden by time he arrives home.

Okay.
Thats my ramble for today.

I'll let you know how it goes when this fellow decides to pop into my life again.
And pray he does.

I'm Growing Up Too Fast.

Wow.
I survived my junior year.
I'm alive.
And well.
WHAT IN THE WORLD???
How did this year go by so fast?
How is junior year already over?
I'm a senior?
My heart just dropped.
My belly flopped.
I'm still a sophomore.
I'm still a baby.
A little girl.
I'm five years old at heart.
How am I already a senior?

I'm freaking out here.
FREAKING OUT.

Tonight was graduation.
I watched every single one of my beloved seniors
take that long walk and receive the diploma they had been waiting twelve years to get.
I cried.
A lot.
Going to school and not seeing
Matt,
Steve,
Emily,
Nate,
Cam,
Maddie,
or any of them...
It is going to kill me.
I am going to be the oldest.
The biggest.
Like I said before...
I'M A 5 YEAR OLD.
I can't handle this whole senior thing.

As I sat at graduation, I made myself a promise.
I will NOT waste a single moment of this next year.
I will live the best senior year any one has ever experienced.
Senioritis shall not overcome me.
I will be the best SBO ever.
I will love everyone.
I will go to EVERYTHING.
I will truly live this next year.
I will make every day worth while.
I will love unconditionally.

I almost can't wait.
It is going to be the best year of my life.

But for now,
it is summer.
And I shall love this warmth.
Embrace the whole no homework gig.
I will have the summer of a life time.

Then the best senior year ever.

And then I move out.

GAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

I still have a year of childhood left.
I will love every second of it.
Mark my words.

It Is A Musical of True Dreams.

Dreams come true.
Get ready for it.

Yes.
I am going to be in a Musical.
A high school one.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Ever since I was a little girl I have dreamed of starring in a play.
Always.
Broadway.
That was my goal.
Until I found out I was completely tone deaf and had no ability to act.

This is my chance.
I may just be a back up dancer.
But.
I get to live out my childhood dream.
Yes.
Yes.
YES.

Right Around The Corner.

If a June night could talk, it would probably boast it invented romance.
Bern Williams

The summer night is like a perfection of thought.
Wallace Stevens

Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass on a summer day listening to the murmur of water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is hardly a waste of time.
John Lubbock

Summer afternoon - summer afternoon; to me those have always been the two most beautiful words in the English language.
Henry James

Summer. Summer. Summer.
I can smell it.
Taste it.
It's in the air.
Make it come fast.
FASTER.

Yesterday,
I went to my concert.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
BRUNO.
I THINK I WANT TO MARRY YOU.
get it?
JUST THE WAY YOU ARE.
BECAUSE I WOULD CATCH A GRENADE FOR YOU.

Best. Night. Ever.
Here are some pictures.

This was my date.
What a winner.

The night was amazing.
Amazing.
Like...
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
I'm speechless.
Fantastic.

Today felt like
SUMMMMMEEEEEERRRRRR.
I didn't go to first period.
Because that is completely over-rated.
During second, things got better.
I thought I had a much over due fine..
But.
I don't.
So.
I get my yearbook!
During precalc,
I left.
And I went into the hall to see my Crush.
We were given a dare.
It might happen in the summer.
Maybe.
Hopefully.
What?
Then I jumped into my best friend's car.
Good ol' Billy Jean.
We went to Cafe Rio.
I ate a WHOLE burrito by myself.
Pure heaven.
I went back to the school to discuss grades with my teachers.
We duct-taped a girl to the lockers instead of going to fourth period.
I giggled.
A lot.
Then we went swimming.
Kind of.
Then we made cookies.
Then a sophomore serenaded me on a piano.
I sat and listened.
I thought about how good life is.

I was in my swimming suit and cover up.
Laying on the couch.
There was no worry of homework or a test coming up.
I have a very special boy in my life.
The one that gives me butterflies.
Summer is right around the corner.
I go to Lake Powell next week.
Grades are done.
Finished.
I survived my junior year.
No more stress for the next three months.
I have the bestest friends in the world.
My little red-headed sister.
My soul sister.
My Romeo.
My favorite sophomore.
My almost-step-sister/cousin.
I am so blessed.
I love my life.
Plus I got to wear a skirt today.
SUMMMMEEERRR.
I love you.

Hello, This Was My Week.

Once upon a time Linsey never wrote on her blog.
The end.

Lets start with Wednesday:

I went to a choir concert.
And might I just say,
My school is oh so talented.
I sat by my romeo.
Our secret love....
It's fantastic.
After I arrived home I had the privledge of watching the American Idol Finale.
SCOOOTTTTTTYYYYYY!!!
My boy.
My love.
I called it from the very beginning.
He will be a legend.

Thursday:

Two words.
Bad. Day.
Do you ever have those days when nothing goes your way,
when teachers don't work with you,
when friends act silly,
when fate hates you,
when a certain boy ignores your existance,
when you have 170000000 things to do and so little time,
and you really just want a chocolate bar?

Yep.
That was my life.

That night we had our Dance Co banquet.
I wanted to cry.
It was so hard being with my entire Company for the last time.
But I was comforted.
We have so many great memories together.
We are sisters.
As cliche as it sounds,
We can't cry because it's over,
we should smile because it happened.
I will never forget Dance Company 2010 - 2011.
A true sisterhood.

Friday:

One of the best days I have had in the longest time.
At lunch,
A tailgate party was held on the band field.
Hot dogs were eaten,
and memories were made.
A complete success.
Then came the state championship baseball game.
I had the privilege to sit by my dear Crush through out the entire game.
BONDDINNNG definitely occurred.
Man.... I will write a little bit more about that later.
We lost.
But second in state is not that bad right?
It's actually quite amazing.
Then came Powder Puff.
Stupid seniors.
I hate you.
All of you.
And your cheating ways.
GRRRRR.
I got a real cool jersey that some lovelies made for me.
It sported the number 26 along with the name of "Puffs" on the back.
May I just say I love that shirt?
A lot.
Then came Cavestock.
Talk about your craziness.
At first everything went quite well.
Doing my free period I got work with the cotton candy.
A literal dream come true.
I am easily entertained.
Sue me.
Then the rain came.
Usually I'm a fan of water falling from the sky but not when we are holding an outside dance with expensive electronics that must be out of H20's way.
So,
the chaos began.
The rain meant we had to bring everything in.
Every chair.
Every table.
Every piece of equipment.
By the end I was a soaking wet mess that really needed a power nap.
Might I just say,
when things need to get done,
I turn into a different person.
My priorities are shifted and I run around like a mad women trying to get things done.
And things we a lot easier because my dear Crush was by my side for the most of the night.
He helped me with everything.
I really appreciated it.
He made me smile.
A lot.
Then Momo and I decided to take a break and wrestle in the grass.
One of the best ideas I have ever had.
She is a little monster.
I like a challenge.

Yep.
We are that cool.
Notice the jersey. Number 26.
Booyahhh.

After about an hour of endless clean up the dance began.
And I partied.
It was very hot.
I became very sweaty.
But did that stop me from dancing with my Crush?
NO SIRR.
American Fork High School is just so school.
At one point in the evening my red headed little sister, a little sophy I admire with all my heart,
and I decided to stand on the benches and dance.
Pretty soon,
our whole little group was on those old piles of wood partying like
 there was no tomorrow.
Towards the end of the night,
They played a song of unity and the whole school linked arms and stood in a big circle.
We all shifted back and forth.
Looking at each other's faces.
Looking at the seniors who are off to bigger and better things.
Wanting to cry.
But smiling thinking of all the memories.
We all shouted ah-chil-le-le.
For the last time.
It was a great end.
Not to mention,
I danced with my Crush.
Twice.
That's right.
And all I have to say is I believe I have fallen quite hard for the kid.
Never in my life had I thought it would have developed into this.
He is amazing.
I have never met a more amazing boy.
He makes me swoon.
And giggle.
And... man.
Not to mention he improved immensely as a dancer.
Mainly, we worked on dips and spins.
Magical.
We had a moment.
I am the luckiest girl to ever walk this planet.
But at the same time,
I am terrified.
I don't know how to conduct myself.
I don't know what to do.
Hello seventh grade.
That is what I feel like.
Let the pieces fall where they may, I like to say.
Cavestock.
Success.
Pure happiness.
I love my life.
Very much.

Please Start Now. Yes, I Would Like That.

Ah-ha moments.
Priceless.
Do you ever have those moments when all the pieces fit?
Where every thought clicks?
And makes perfect sense?

I had a few of those on Saturday.
Maybe more than a few.

It started out with a service project.
Picking up the trash in American Fork.
My dear group had the joyful task of walking from In-N-Out to Cold Stone.

I brought a friend.
*Place giggle here*
I was told I was completely useless because it was impossible to stay concentrated.
Hm.
I don't understand what they are talking about.

I adore these girls.
I'm a total loser for not getting a picture with my friend.
Ugh.

I spent the rest of the day with my soul sister.
It in insane how you can be the exact opposite of a person,
but at the same,
you find your other half.

She's the artistic one.
Writing, photography, art,
the whole shibang.

I'm the logical one.
I like numbers and patterns.
Consistency.
Symmetry.
OCD.

Being best friends is having one soul in two bodies.

I found my other half.
We maybe so different,
but we are givers.
We will give EVERYTHING to those we care about.
Do anything for them.
Listen to their joys and rejoice with them.
Discuss little details and over analyze every portion as girls love to do.
Listen to stories of heartbreak and comfort,
even when we are dying inside.
Serve the ones we love in every way possible.
I always knew I did this.
But never have I met someone willing to open up to me,
as she has.
The more we talked, the more we began to realize we both made SBO for many reasons.
One of the top reasons?
To become soul sisters.
And we are.
And I love her.
I am so blessed to have this young lassie in my life.
We went to yard sales.
Went grocery shopping.
We played with kitties and puppies.
See for yourself.

Look at my little Simba.
What a gem.

The old and new council member had a little party.
I was abnormally quiet.
I still feel like the odd girl out.
Soon, my odd ways will be accepted and I will have a family with my council.
But for now...
I'm scared.
I'm scared I won't fit it.
That I will be looked at as this random child on council,
that doesn't really belong.
I know once my council sees the true me,
they will welcome me with open arms.

But I am in transition right now.
With friends,
with myself.
I am changing.
And I know it.
Love it, to be precise.
Ah-ha.

I spent half my night with my SBO ladies.
And that is when things clicked.
I looked around, and I felt loved.
And cared for.
When it comes to a Blue,
such as myself,
there is not a greater feeling.
I can already tell,
we are going to be so so close.
I can't wait.

Dear StuCo,

I would really appreciate it if you would start now.
I would love to have a family.
My dream is to walk up to all the members and each of them to smile and accept me.
That would be nice.
You are a major blessing in my life, and as I count my many,
I do not want you to go waste.
I want to start now.
This very moment.
I love you.
With all my heart.
Thank you.
For everything.
Please make my senior year the best one ever.
I would really like that.

With all my heart,
Linsey.

Rain and Parks. What More Could You Want?

This school year is nearing a close.
The usual result of this time of year would be...
Sunshine.

But when does Utah ever follow the rules?
Never
We are rebels.

For almost three days straight,
Utah County has been under a constant cover of pouring rain.

My feelings about the current weather?

In Love.

If someone asked me if I would take sunshine or heavy pouring rain?
My answer would obviously be,
heavy pouring rain.

Today during my classes,
I would look through the streaking window
and pray the rain would stay this strong.
As soon as the bell rang for early lunch,
two little sophies and I made a dart for the car.

Before entering the out doors,
I slipped off my Toms,
cuffed my pants,
and sprinted underneath the crying clouds.
I must have looked like a five year old,
running around,
making splashes in little puddles.
Miles joined me as we sang in the rain.
We even danced a bit.

Once we stopped our immaturity for a moment,
we decided to head to JCW.
Home of the best Ranch Bacon Cheeseburger this world has ever seen.

We ate.
Miles handed me several napkins to clean my face.
I would like to see him drive and eat a massive burger at the same time.
Why I outta....

As we traveled to our prison of a school
we past a park I pass everyday.
Without the consent from my fellow car members,
my vehicle abruptly turned into the parks little street parking.

I told the youngins we were going to swing on swings.
In the rain.
May I just announce right now that this idea was one of my more genius ones?
Because it was.
I giggled a lot.
I felt free.
Clean.
I love rain.
It changes me.
We ran around.
I almost slipped onto my behind.
We climbed in trees.
Pure happiness.
We acted as though we were five.
Because that is who I am at heart.

Next time it rains,
please go play at a park.

It'll make you smile.
Truly smile.

Stupid Research Paper.

CURSE YOU FIVE PAGED RESEARCH PAPER.

I think I need to be tested for ADD.
I cannot focus.

Hence, the blogging.

I quit high school.

The end.

I'm on a Disney rave right now.

Please enjoy Simba and Nala falling in love.
I know I do.

Rain Rain Go Away.

Roller coasters.
They are so fun.
Especially when you are discussing emotions.

Last night I couldn't sleep.
I woke up in the middle of the night sobbing.
In hysterics.
I laid in my bed for an hour holding on to old letters.
Replaying memories.
The thrashing rain outside didn't help much either.
It helped remembering the times of smiles and giggles.
It also helped with the pain.
The ache in my chest.
Pounding.
Cracking.

Today was Elder's sixth month mark.
Six. Months.
Ouch.
I can't believe it.
Six months without the boy I fell head over heals for.
The boy that changed me.
Changed my ways,
Changed my outlook on life.
The boy that pushed me to be my best.
He brought out the very best in me.
He kissed me.
And cherished every moment.
He lifted me out of the darkness and helped my testimony grow leaps and bounds.
I was in love.
And you humbuggers who believe that true love doesn't exist in high school?
I am sad for you.
The feelings between me and Elder were real.
Strong.
Powerful.
I have never been so happy.
And that is happiness you are pushing away.
You'll understand eventually.
It's the best.

I woke up this morning,
late as usual.
I rushed to get ready for a dear SBO meeting.
I turned on my Linkin Park,
trying to block out all thoughts.
I put on a scarf.
A pink one.
I thought it would help brighten my mood.
I went to my meeting.
Smiling at everyone,
praying they could see the disguise.
I sprinted to seminary knowing the spirit was the only thing that would heal my broken heart.
We talked about families.
And love.
Perfect.
I love my life.
Not.

I had a test in second.
Fail.
Once again,
I love my life.

Math has always been my favorite subject.
Everything has a rule.
It is constant.
Never changing.
Numbers are numbers.
Formulas are formulas.
And for OCD fanatics like Linsey?
Ya, math calms me.
So third passed with flying colors.

At lunch,
I saw him and her sitting at the lunch table.
She loves him.
He adores her.
I looked away before my eyes began to swell with tears.
It is hard to see couples in love,
when you are falling apart at the seams.
I didn't look at them again.

During fourth I saw my Crush.
I was in the hall, he walked by.
Stitch.
He smiled at me.
I smiled back.
Stitch.
The pain stopped momentarily.
I wished him luck at his game.
He said he would look out for me.
This time the smile wasn't forced, it was authentic.

I went to the soccer game.
My Crush is a stud.
He talked to me after.
I forgot about my pain,
it almost... vanished.
I like to believe it was the fresh air and fresh thinking.
Maybe just maybe,
it's the fact that I see that there is still hope for me.
That this pain won't last forever.
I might one day be able to have the 10th day of the month come
and not fall apart.
I don't know.
Maybe.

Arriving home,
I got a text from a special boy.
He simply asked me if I was going to the baseball game tomorrow.
It made all the difference in the world.
I felt special.
Remembered.
Isn't crazy how just a little text and some loving words can change your whole day?

Once again.
Roller coaster.
But I am a broken hearted teenage girl.
What do you expect?

A Quick Little Update.

I have a new old friend.
He makes me smile.
And giggle.
I like this feeling.

I want Student Council to start now.
I would like my new family to love me.
My new sisters are the greatest.
Please begin now.
Oh wait...
I have sweater fittings in the morning.
At 6:45 in the morning.
Yay me.
Actually I'm quite excited.
Ecstatic to be exact.

This week is concert week.
This means hard work.
Tears.
Laughter.
Injury.
Dancing.
14 hours at the place I like to call prison.
Man.
I love concert week.
And this is only the beginning.
Please come!
April 28 & 29
7:00 in the auditorium.
$5 dollars at the door.
It is going to be a great show.

My Crush still makes me giddy.
I wish I saw him more.
But what can you do?

I put Medical Assisting into my schedule.
As well as student council.
I cannot wait for my senior year.
I am so impatient.
I want it to start this very moment.
Or at least for it to be summer.
That will do.
5 more weeks.
I can do this.
Only 4 more Mondays right?

I Love My Life. The End.

I have dissappeared.
Does this ever happen?
No.
Honestly?
I haven't had one moment to sit down and
report the events of my life.
How eventful have they been?
EXTREMELY.
Let me please explain.
I have been having the time of my life.
More stressed than I thought I could ever physically handle.
A total of 20 hours of sleep in the past 5 days?
YEP!
Walking zombie right here.
I have never blushed harder than Saturday night.
I smile cheek to cheek just thinking about it.
AHHH.

A Few Highlights:

Soccer games.
Of Course.
That isn't even a question.
Last Friday as well as this one.
I have sat through the heat, snow, and hail
in order to support my Crush.
Oh, the things I do for him.
If he only knew.

My Crush actually came over to my house on Saturday!
I think it was a dream.
I am not quite sure.
Because I had a blast.
And I wasn't even awkward.
That alone is a miracle.
The night was filled with
Just Dance 2,
Hypnotizing,
and Humiliation.
But I won't go into that.
Lets just say,
I had an amazing night.
And my crush on this young man is as strong as ever.

The main reason for my disappearance would be my
attempts to run and campaign for
STUDENT BODY OFFICER.
Yes.
This past week:
I did not go to bed before 2 am every night.
I had to edit the most ridiculous video.
Watch it please

Yep, this my creation.
It sucks.
Please don't judge me.
I had to pass out endless amounts of Smarties
and talk to the most random people.
It was fantastic.
This last week was full of
tears, screams, laughter, and deep talks.

Monday I had my interview.
Lets say,
I think I did quite well.
We were asked to dance in different genres.
I brought Wonderboy up and made him dance with me
instead of getting into my interpretive dance moves.
I answered from the heart.
I felt awesome afterward.

Tuesday through Thursday,
I harassed people.
I give them candy,
They vote for me.
Simple process.
Actually it was one of the most stressful parts,
but hey,
I had fun doing it.

Finally, Friday came.
The new officers were picked,
and the poor canidates had to wait until
10:45 to find out at the elections dance.
I threw up in the morning.
Too much anxiety for my taste.
The day was filled with tears and stress.
I just wanted to know.
I can handle rejection.
My senior year would be awesome either way.
I just wanted to know.

The current SBO's had a barbeque for us.
And let me tell you,
It was more of a testimony meeting than anything.
It was outstanding.
Yes, I cried.
Shocker right?
Then,
We headed off to the dance.
Can I just say that I love dances?
I kind of go crazy.
But that is what's fun right?
After spending the next hour of my life partying it up,
the canidates were called to the Cafiteria.
They thanked us for running.
They gave us letters.
Mine, specifically, was from Wonderboy.
That just made my night.
The canidates then proceeded to hike to the top of the bleachers
opposite of our posters.
This is how it goes.
From the top of the bleachers to the bottom
laid ten giant posters.
On each one there was the name of a current SBO.
At the very top of each poster,
was another poster of equal length,
for the new SBO council rolled up very tightly.
And one by one, you watch the posters drop.
And pray your name is on one of them.
So the dropping began.

First poster: No Luck.

Second poster: Try again.

Third poster: Oh, she will be awesome.

Fourth poster: Nope, well so long, it was fun while it lasted.

Fifth poster (rolled down by the one and only Wonderboy):
LINSEY BROWN

Somebody please pinch me now.
Please.
I am in a dream.
This cannot be real.
I am a Student Body Officer.
If you would of asked me a year ago,
no, try three months ago,
if I would ever be an SBO?
I would say that you were crazy and I had no chance.
But Heavenly Father has a plan for every single one of his children.
And this is the answer to my prayers.
Every. Single. One. Of. Them.
It's amazing.
My testimony has never been so strong.
I am so blessed.

The night proceeded by wearing Wonderboy's sweater.
Yes, he rolled down my poster so I got to wear his holy sweater.
I screamed.
I cried.
I recieved many hugs and congratulations.
My Crush even came and gave me a hug.
Baby steps.
WOOT WOOT!

I have never been so happy.
My testimony is stronger than ever.
I now am a
Student Body Officer
for 2011-2012.
I will render service to my fellow man.
I can change this school.
But more importantly,
I can impact lives.
Little by little.
I cannot wait.
Life is perfect right now.
I could not ask for anything more.
I love my New Council.
Every single one of them are incredible.
BETTER WATCH OUT!
The class of 2012 is coming your way.
And we will never stop.
This is going to be the greatest Senior year EVER!

Surprises. Surprises.

I have just been told some
very very very very very very very very very
 exciting news.
My mom just announced a spontaneous trip to
the happiest place on earth.
DISNEYLAND!!!!!
Best. Vacation. Ever.
I have been to New York.
I have been to Mexico.
Haiti.
Jamaica.
All over the United States.
But nothing is quite like Disneyland.
It is like stepping in to a world of childhood bliss.
Completely magical.
Full of thrills and rides.
Smiles and princess dresses.
Good food and water shows.
Family and pure happiness.
BAHHHHHHHH!
Words cannot even contain my excitement.
So I found this video.
If we could of recorded my initial reaction and
pure excitement that made me sprint around the house,
this is what it would have looked like.

Yep. I'm pretty pumped.
That doesn't even cover it.
I AM SOOO ECSTATICALLY EXCITED THAT I AM GOING TO EXPLODE
WITH AN ENTHUSIASTIC EXPLOSION OF PURE HAPPINESS.
That is all.
The also implies going to be beach.
And Sea World.
And spying on my brother.
Best. Spring. Break. Ever.
Huzzah! Yahoo! Opa!!

Highlight of the day:
This morning I had to hang up my posters in the for SBO.
I was super stressed and running around like a maniac.
Once I was done, I started to jog off to Seminary so I wouldn't be late.
Then I realized my Crush was in front of me.
My heart stopped.
My stomach dropped.
I slowed done to an easy pace, and I tried to go unnoticed.
That plan didn't work out so well, and I am glad.
I walked with him down the hall.
We just talked about prom, classes, and seminary council.
After I turned the corner to travel to the seminary building,
I practically started skipping to class.
The kid doesn't even know how giddy he makes me.
It is so silly.
And I love it.
I haven't been silly or giddy in the longest time.
I love smiling.
Don't you?

A Night To Remember.

Lets get down to business.
To defeat, the huns.

PROM.
A glorious day.

 The date.
Austin Steadmen.
Or should I say,
A complete stud muffin.
My best friend through out all the junior high years.
One of my closest friends.
He is a total sweetheart.

For our day date, we went rock climbing at The Quarry.
And let me tell you,
rock climbing destroys your body.
After the first climb,
my arms were shaking and I was done.
So I helped my date the majority of the time.

Now my forearms are oh so sore,
but I would have to say the day date was a success.

Then I got ready.
The very very very best part of prom.
Getting dressed up like a princess or a movie star.
You were the dress of your dreams.
You feel so special.
On top of the world.
Well, this was the out come.
 An over all look.
 The hair.
Could I move in that dress? Nope.
 The back.
 A close up.
Just me.

I love this dress.
With all my heart.

When my date came to pick me up,
That is when I saw our transportation.
Two words:
Hummer. Limo.
Ask me if a scream escaped my throat when I saw it?
It did.

I felt like a complete movie star.
With the best date around.

Every boy wanted their date to feel the joy and excitement I felt when I first saw the limo.
So, we picked up
EVERY. GIRL.
Two hours later,
We finally made it to pictures.
Then to dinner.
It was the greatest food.
I stuffed myself.
Have I ever mentioned my love of food?
It's kind of a problem.

Once we rolled back into the limo,
our dates popped out the Martinelli's.
Oh Baby.
How cool did I feel?
Riding in a hummer limo,
with my fantastic date,
music blasting in the background,
partying with my best friends,
drinking sparkling cider?
PRETTY DARN COOL!

My attempts to be rebel. Epic. Fail.

Finally, at 10:15, we made it to the dance.
I saw all my friends in the their beautiful dresses.
Every single one of them looked dazzling.
Best lookin girls I have ever seen.

Here is a little secret about Linsey at dances.
I got nuts.
Absolutely insane.
Why?
Because I can.
With my awkward interpreted dance moves.
I pretty much hit anyone within a five foot radius of me.
It's awesome.

Best part of the dance?
Guess.
At one point, I found my red headed little sister.
She looked so grown up.
I shed a tear.
I went to go dance with her for one song,
this being her first dance ever.
And before I knew it, there was my Crush.
Dancing like a crazy man.
It was awesome.
I felt so cool.
COMPLETELY on top of the world.

At one point I saw Wonderboy and his lovely date.
It was during a slow song,
and I just watched as he serenaded her with his voice of an angel.
They are so in love.
I had to look away.
I felt embarrassed watching such a strong connection take place.
It made me giddy just looking at them.
I am soo happy for the couple.
They both deserve the world.

Finally, the dance came to a close.
We watched a movie at one of the boy' house.
We laughed, and fell asleep.
It was a good calming end to a fantastic night.
